Friends call me Shaz. I'm an ultra-distance runner,
mother and wife living in Regional Victoria, Australia.
I currently hold numerous Australian Records and have ambitions
of achieving more. This site has been developed to allow readers
to better understand what's required to be an ultra-distance
runner and hopefully help generate interest in the sport.
Ultimately I hope that I can continue to run well and can use my
success to inspire others to achieve their goals - at whatever
level.
So if you're doing little to nothing now, then get out for a
walk. If you're a walker then try to run a short distance. And if
you are already a runner then go further than you ever dared and
run faster than you ever believed you could because it's amazing what
we can do when we believe in ourselves.
I'm also the co-Race Director for the Ned Kelly Chase and the Wangaratta Marathon and Fun Runs with my husband Justin. I hope you will consider joining us on 26 October 2014 for the NKC or 23 February 2014 for the Marathon and Fun Runs. All the details at the websites:
